A series of paintings were created as residue of Only By Zero Will We Divide (2017). Liquid, which seeped out of the brick molds -made of bananas and sawdust- coagulated over time and had a viscous abstract painterly quality. The syrup is pressed against canvas spun from cotton which conflates the history of Baumwollspinnerie and the politics of the banana both in Eastern Germany, Latin America and the Caribbean.
